This season it seems like all of my favorite celebrities have opted for a sequin dress for the red carpet. And I really can't blame them. There's no better way to grab everyone's attention. Worn the right way, a sequined dress will unleash your inner glam goddess.

But its understandable why some ladies might be hesitant to try out the look. With such a flashy style, finding the right style is essential. Y'all know what they say: everything ain't for everybody. So here are a few guidelines for women of every age.

20s
Live it up while you can. Because women in their 20s and younger can get away with practically anything. Any length, cut, and color can work. The world is your oyster. Play up your wardrobe freedom with a sequin mini like Keri Hilson.

30s
By the time you hit the big 3-0, it's time to start choosing longer hemlines. But that doesn't mean you can't add some fun to your sequin dress with bold, statement accessories like Kimora Lee Simmons. The simplicity of her sheath dress paired with her knee-high suede boots and layered necklaces makes this look a winner.

40s
Women in their fabulous 40s should look for sleeker silhouttes. Ms. Berry showed just the right amount of skin with a tea-length sparkler. Sure, the cutouts and ample cleavage might not be the best bet for everyone, but I'm loving how Halle isn't afraid to get sexy on 'em. Halle also offsets the rather conservative length of her dress with bold accessories.

50s
Iman shows the young ones how it's done, again. Pick a simple silhouette with a bit of added flair, and keep everything else simple. Less is more on women of a certain age. Effortless style is the way to go. Let the young ones jump through all the fashion hoops.
