Actress Kerry Washington attended the Dolce & Gabbana Party at the Le Baoly, Port Canto during the 62nd Annual Cannes Film Festival on May 22, 2009 in Cannes, France. I love the basket weave and puff sleeve details on this metallic dress. She also keeps it classic wearing solid black Christian Louboutin pumps, a MAJOR staple in a sartorially successful wardrobe.

Rihanna is back in a big way. Last week, she caught the stylistas around the world when she wore a yellow sequined jacket out to dinner. Rihanna's Marc Jacobs jacket comes straight off Spring/Summer '09 runway. The singer turned glamutante is just one of the many celebs who've spotted in Marc Jacobs creations in recent weeks. The designer dressed no less than 5 celebs for the Costume Institute Gala. The jacket can also be spotted on Monica in the video for "Trust" featuring Keyshia Cole. No wonder the celebs are going gaga over this piece of bedazzled outerwear. The 80s are back in a big way.

I think Rihanna's trying to tell us something. Since she's reemerged on the fashion scene, she's been rocking some out of this world outfits. She set the fashion world ablaze when she wore this eye-catching outfit on the streets of New York.
Say what you want about Rihanna, but that girl knows how to accessorize. She's combined a number of funky pieces to get an unforgettable look. She's wearing Rodarte "thigh highs" available for $920here. Here booties are from European design house Acne, and she's wearing Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses. You've gotta love it.

Meagan Good was spotted over the weekend on two separate occasions wearing the same super cute sandals. Well we found a cute copy cat pair. The Vince Camuto Women's Angie Peep Toe Sandal available from $139.95

Songtress Leona Lewis and actress Taraji Henson both attended a Herve Leger by Max Azria launch party last week wearing pieces from the Spring 2009 collection.
Leona opted for a more demure look by wearing stocking with her body-con dress.
On the otherhand, Taraji is channeling "Betty Boop" and tastefully lets it all hang out in this striped Herve dress.
Naomi Campbell needs to let us know where that fountain of youth is so we can we can some. She's looking super fab on the cover of this month's issue of V Magazine rocking a Playboy inspired get up. How old is this woman? She never fails to disappoint.
Speaking of Playboy. Did you know that Hugh and Company recently named the first black Playmate of the Year? Now that's progress, people.

This season, bright colors will be everywhere including on your nails. A few months ago we spotted two of our favorite celebs, Keyshia Cole and Taraji Henson, rocking a gorgeous yellow/green to awards shows and exclusive events.
The color looked gorgeous against their deep caramel complexions. Ladies, if you're looking for this season's signature color, we've found it. Chartreuse will keep you looking fresh and fab during the warmer months. Any of these dresses would look fab paired with a bone colored clutch.
What do you think? Would you rock this trend? Or is it too loud?

Last week Rihanna attended Coty's-DKMS 3rd Annual Linked Against Leukemia Gala in NYC. She wore a very chic look from the Louis Vuttion Fall 09 collection, thus redeeming herself from last weeks MET Gala fiasco.

Celebrity Style Guide: Taraji Henson's Black Sandals

Taraji P. Henson has certainly come up since her days on screen in the hood classic "Baby Boy." She's become a Black fashion icon, and we're loving her rocker-chic style. Black caged and gladiator sandals are a staple of Ms. Henson's wardrobe. She pairs them with dressed up looks to add some edginess.
To get Taraji's style don't be afraid to pair elements that don't quite fit together. Great style is about being fearless.

Tyra recently hit the red carpet rocking the plum Jackie O dress from Black Halo. Black Halo has become a celebrity favorite. Everyone from Kim Kardashian to Taraji Henson has been spotted in their classic designs. We're especially loving the color called Geranium. If you're just dying to dress like Tyra get the .

Almost overnight Solange went from being called "Beyonce's little sister" to "That girl who dresses weird." Her style is definitely over the top, and she's not afraid to try new looks, but every once in awhile Solange shows us just exactly how less is more. She rocked it in a simple off white top, ripped jeans, and teal Valentino heels. We're sure her jeans cost an arm and a leg, but you can get the look for much less. Extreme Frayed Skinny Jean $27.80

Black Style Star: Claire Sulmers of The Fashion Bomb

Meet Claire Sulmers. She's the fashionista behind one of our favorite fashion blogs, The Fashion Bomb. In only a few short years, the Harvard grad has managed to make a name for herself in the fashion world. She gets invited to all the hottest fashion shows, and she's always got the inside scoop. We asked Claire a few questions about her style endeavors.
How would you describe your personal style?
Classic yet chic. I love sticking to what works: trench coats, skinny jeans, ballet flats, pencil skirts. I just love a clean, crisp look. For a long time I shopped at J.Crew almost exclusively, so my style reflects their preppy, English inspired aesthetic. I favor blazers, tweeds, and lots of cashmere!
[editor's note: get Claire's look]
Who is your favorite fashion designer?
Hard to pick, but I love Diane von Furstenberg. I've never been to one of her shows, but still flock to her store and sales to pick up the latest wrap dresses, skirts, and jackets. She has a style that is very American, but still quite chic. She uses great colors and knows how to mix sophisticated with sexy.
[editor's note: we LOVE DVF]
Who's your personal style inspiration?
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. I'm going to attach a pic of her that I love. She used to work those big shades, trench coats, and understated bags.
Now, I'd say J.Lo. She has great style but she also has an eye for quality. I like Victoria Beckham as well, though she can be a bit over the top! I think J.Lo always looks put together and fabulous.
Who's the most fashionable celebrity?
Hard to say there are so many. Rihanna has a great stylist.
Chanel Iman or Jourdan Dunn?
I don't think anyone should choose. They're both beautiful girls at the top of their game and have such different looks that it's not fair to compare. I think they're both amazing.
Who's the best black model of all time?
So far based on her longevity Naomi Campbell. Off camera she might have a bad wrap, but if you look at her legacy she's untouchable.
You attended several Fall/Winter 09 Shows. Which one was your favorite?
Alexander McQueen! I honestly stood and gasped and pointed at what I saw. It was the first time I'd seen what was supposed to be ready to wear as more couture. The models were almost scary in their height and with all their makeup, but it was a first for me and I loved it.
What are your top 3 trends for Spring/Summer '09?
Bright colors, harem pants, gladiator heels.
What in your opinion has been the worst fashion fad in the past 10 years?
Leggings as pants vs. as undergarments.
What's the best fashion advice you've ever received?
I haven't really received much fashion advice. I'd say to just figure out what silhouettes work for you and work it. I can't be seen in an A-line or maxi skirt! It just doesn't work for my body type. So figure out what works, and do you.

My style favorite Rhianna opted for an androgynous look. I admire her for stepping outside of the box with this puff sleeved tuxedo Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2009 collection.

Ciara donned a color-blocked Emilio Pucci gown with a sexy low cut back and embellishments on the side. The hair style also matches perfectly.

Model Oluchi Onweagba looked fantastic in this black and white printed voluminous number.

Model Alek Wek is channeling some Grace Jones here, she looks OUTSTANDING in the shocking purple mini dress with weaved details.

American Vogue's Editor @ Large Andre Leon Tally doesn't look delighted to be in attendance. Andre normally wears cape-like outfits he also gets brownie points for sporting an Obama pin. GO'BAMA!

Tyra Banks wore an amazing Badgley Mischka gown, it's just a shame about her hair and make up, very unflattering.

Model Chanel Iman dripped in diamonds and her gown by Zac Pozen fits her like a second skin. It's difficult to make leopard print soft and elegant but Chanel manages to do just that.

Iman isn't a super model for no reason, she looked SUPERB in this Donna Karen gown. The delicately folded details looks like whipped butter!

Actress Kerry Washington took a risk wearing this Fall 09 Louis Vuttion runway look. In my opinion it paid off.

Actress Rosario Dawnson on the other should have taken more of a risk. This Diane Von Fustenberg gown is pretty(pretty simple).

Fresh faced model Sessilee Lopez who also wore Zac Posen shines in this gorgeous gown.
