Style Files: Rihanna at Grammy Gift Lounge

Rihanna won't be performing at this year's Grammy Awards, but that hasn't stopped her from partaking in the pre-Grammy festivities of the weekend. She was spotted at a gifting suiting looking laid-back and gorgeous.
She paired distressed denim jeans with a simple tank top, ankle booties and extra-long cardigan.
Check out more pics of Rihanna below the cut.

Keri Hilson is featured in this month's OK Magazine, and she's looking gorgeous. Keri has described her style as tomboy chic, she's giving us playful seductress in these flicks.
My favorites are below the jump.

Love it or Leave it: Melanie Fiona at Pre-Grammy Party

Melanie Fiona is one of the most intriguing new vocalist to hit the scene in a minute. She celebrated her Grammy nomination with a party in LA, and wore this unusual knee-length dress.
It looks like it's made of a t-shirt material, which could have worked if the rest of the dress were a bit simpler. Something about the sequins combined with the asymmetrical cut just seems a bit overkill to me.
What do you think? Do you love her look?

Gabourey Sidibe looked gorgeous in a sapphire blue Pamella Roland gown on the red carpet of the SAG Awards.
Whoever is dressing her deserves some recognition because she's doing an incredible job. This is an incredible cut for the Precious star.

I've given Mariah Carey a hard time for her fashion choices this Awards season, but I've got to give credit where it's due.
This is the perfect color and cut for the statuesque beauty. The asymmetrical gown was a perfect fit for MiMi's curvaceous frame.

Shaun Robinson wore her best prom dress to the SAG Awards. I know Shaun's not an A-lister, but this choice was incredible underwhelming.

I'm not sure how Niecy Nash has landed squarely on my style radar, but I'm loving it. She's made a few stellar red carpet appearances in the past few weeks.
Niecy is obviously a woman who knows her body and loves it, because she wears the heck out of a dress. It's grea to see a woman who's not stick thin.
This two-toned dress features an embellished empire waistline and plunging neckline. The simple cut makes Niecy look long and statuesque. I'm especially loving her Charles Albert jewels.

Fashion For Relief: Naomi Campbell Poses for Haiti

Naomi Campbell, like mamy celebs, took some time out of her busy schedule to promote her annual Fashion for Relief show that is held each year to benefit a charity. This year, Naomi has pledged the funds of to Haiti.
There's nothing more fashionable than generosity. Love it.

Style Files: Anika Noni Rose at Princess and the Frog Premiere

.
Anika Noni Rose wore this origami-inspired dress to the UK premiere of Princess and the Frog. This is an unusual choice and Anika looks great.

Rihanna turned heads in a slinky Jean Paul Gaultier dress on the red carpet of the NRJ Awards in France.
The gown has received mixed reviews from Fashionistas, but there's no doubt that the Barbadian oozed sex appeal.
Labels: red carpet coverage, rihanna
Love it or Leave it: Pharrell at the NRJ Awards

Pharrell Williams is known as one of the most stylish men in hip-hop music. The Billionaire Boys Club mogul took his laid-back skater style to the red carpet in a very unique way.
What do you think of Pharrell's style? Love it or leave it?

It's no secret that I adore Kelly Rowland. (Everyone loves an underdog.)But it pains me when Kelly comes so close to getting it right.
The huge print on this Rachel Roy dress crosses the line between bold and hideous. The color palette is perfect for Ms. Kelly, but the dress cannot be salvaged.

Style Files: Rihanna in Feather Mini Dress

Rihanna makes my job a lot easier. While other celebs are out wearing LBD's and jeans, she's putting in overtime to find pieces that we won't see on anyone else.
That's why I'll never not love her. Despite her other shortcomings, she's never boring. I'm loving this mixed media mini dress she wore to a Russian talk show.

Style Files: Solange in Green Mini Dress in Miami

Solange was spotted in Miami wearing a emerald green mini dress with black ruffle shoulder and matching headpiece.
Beyonce's baby sis is never afraid to her own thing when it comes to fashion, and that's why I love her. Plus, she's got great instincts. Somehow she never looks like the pieces are thrown together. Love this outfit.

Love it or Leave it: Beyonce Loves Her Studs

Beyonce and Jay Z are in Paris, presumably to catch a few of the shows, and Beyonce was spotted wearing a really interesting outfit. I'm a huge Beyonce fan, but I'm not quite sure this is it.
What do you think of Beyonce's look? Is it too thrown together or do you like her eclectic fashion sense?

Style Files: Amber Rose Shows Everything In Slashed Dress

I've got to be honest. I'm just about over the Amber Rose phenomenon. Her mute, pretty girl act was cute in the beginning, but now I'm just wondering she does.
It seems as though what she does is go around with with her boyfriend Kanye West and wear revealing outfits so as to get as much attention as possible.
That's cute I guess. There isn't a woman on the plant who could get away with this.
Labels: Amber Rose, Kanye West

When I first saw this mess, I wanted to give Kim the benefit of the doubt because this a "performance" outfit. But it's ugly no matter what it's for, so I've got to tell her, no ma'am.
I'm mad that she's trying to bring back the Apollonia boots, though. (That was Purple Rain reference if you ain't know.)
Look of the Day: Kelly Rowland Wears Body Conscious Sequins

Things are looking up for Kelly Rowland. She's just signed a new record deal, and now she's hit the red carpet looking gorgeous as ever at a recent book launch in New York.
If you're loving this look. Check out Stacey Dash in sequins a few nights ago? Who rocked the look better?

Love it or Leave it: Alicia Keys in All Black Everything

I'm trying to be nicer to Alicia these days, so I won't even say how I really feel about this outfit. I'll leave it up to you guys.
What do you think? Love it or leave it?

Style Files: Mel B. Sizzles in Red Mini Dress

I'm not sure what a "couture lollipop" is, but Mel B's got her own line of them. And she looked incredible at the launch. Mel's got a body that any woman would covet, and she knows how to dress it.
She's been on a role recently, I also loved this dress.
Her red mini dress exposes just the right amount of skin, and she kept it classy with her black and silver accessories.

Love it or Leave it: Kanye and Amber Give PETA The Middle Finger

Even though Kanye's been in hiding for the past few months, I always knew he'd reermerge as soon as the fashion show season began. He was spotted with his girlfriend Amber Rose in Paris at the Louis Vuitton fashion, and as usual his style raised eyebrows.
Kanye and Amber wore matching full length furs to the show which has undoubtedly made more than a few animal lovers angry.
What do you think of the look? Is fur fashionable?

No Ma'am: Joy Bryant Goes Cocktail Casual

Model turned Joy Bryant is undeniably gorgeous, but this isn't the first time I've questioned one of her style choices. She loves the low-key look and usually opts for little to no makeup; however, this outfit was not at all appropriate for the event she was attending. That's why Joy is getting a no ma'am from me.
Let's use the outfit Mel B. wore to the same event for comparison. Joy looks like she's going to the mall. It's always better to be overdressed than underdressed. Joy, take note.
Labels: Joy Bryant. no ma'am
Best of the Red Carpet: Mary J. Blige at BET Honors

It's obvious that Mary J. Blige isn't one for frilly, overly ornate gowns. She opts for body-conscious silhouettes that are sexy and slinky. And despite the fact that she has a clearly defined style, she never red carpet picks don't get repetitive.
This sultry one-shoulder gown hugs Mary's curves in the all the right places without looking cheap or trashy. The Queen of hip-hop soul showed us all why she still reigns.

Style Files: Mel B. Looking Upscale in Satin

Mel B. looked beyond gorgeous in her asymmetrical mini dress at a cocktail party for NBC last week. This soft peachy-pink looks gorgeous against Mel's skintone. And her accessories are doing exactly what they should be with this outfit. They're bold enough to make a statement, but they're not gaudy.

Love it or Leave it: Pep's Skintight and Sexy

I don't believe in one size fits all style rules. Every woman should be able to decide what's right for her.
But when it comes to age appropriateness, there are some definite bounds. The trick is being able to identify them.
Right now I'm definitely questioning if the outfit Pep aka Sandy Denton wore to the premiere party of her new show was acceptable given the fact that she's 45.
What do you think? Love it or Leave it?

No Ma'am: La Toya Jackson Is Too Old For This

If Count Dracula were a drag queen, is this what it would look like?
I will never understand La Toya Jackson's style choices, and maybe that's a good thing. She was spotted in Germany last week, wearing an outfit I'm still trying to figure out. It's a dress which seems to have a cape paired with arm warmers and black pumps.
Just once, it would be great to see La Toya in something a bit more sophisticated and age-appropriate, but don't hold your breath.

Beyonce in February 2010 Allure Magazine

Beyonce is featured inside the pages of the newest issue of Allure magazine looking a bit different from the way we're used to seeing her. Of course, she gives us the obligatory Sasha Fierce poses, but most of the shots feature the much more natural and subdued Beyonce.
Rocking natural hair and minimal makeup, Beyonce shows everyone why she's considered one of the most beautiful women on earth.
Continue reading for the rest of the shots.
Style Files: Mo'Nique, Gabourey Sidibe, and Paula Patton at Critic's Choice Awards

Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique and Paula Patton have become the newest red carpet style stars in Hollywood. The stars of the critically acclaimed Precious represent a wide array of body types and frames, and they rarely disappoint. They all looked gorgeous at this weekend's Critics Choice Awards.
See what the women wore below the cut.

Love it or Leave it: Rihanna's Basketball Game Couture

Rihanna was spotted on the sidelines of a basketball game with the boo, Matt Kemp, looking a bit out of place in a white blouse, jeans, and high heel sneakers.
The whole outfit feels just a little bit off. It's not fair to expect Rih-Rih to look perfect all the time, but is this the best she could do?
What do you think? Love it or leave it?
Labels: love it or leave it, rihanna

Tomorrow is Stacey Dash's 44th birthday, and she could easily be mistaken for half her age. The mother of two was spotted at the official Golden Globes after party looking gorgeous in a sequin minidress.

Golden Globes 2010: Halle Berry in KaufmanFranco

I love Halle Berry as much as the next person, but this KaufmanFranco dress missed the mark. Someone on Twitter said it looks like "rederick's of Hollywood couture", and I'd have to agree. We all know that Ms.Berry has a banging body, but the skintight silk and lace looks a little cheap.
Plus, Halle likes to do over-the-top sexy on the red carpet all the time. I wanna see something more sophisticated and demure the next time around. When are the Oscars again?
Labels: Golden Globes 2010, halle berry
Golden Globes 2010: Gabourey Sidibe in Kevan Hall

Gabourey Sidibe made a great choice in this emerald green Kevan Hall dress. It's easily the most flattering gown I've seen her wear. The bejeweled empire waist looked lovely on the young starlet.
