No Ma'am: Serena Williams Should NOT wear Skintight Bodysuits

Things like this make me sad. Serena Williams can look gorgeous when she makes the right choices, but this spandex onesie with built-in bra and blazer combo is just not right.
One one hand, I'm loving her bold accessoires. That necklace is to-die-for, but this is just too much.
What would you rather see Serena wearing?

Interesting. With all the crazy stuff that Tyra wears on her show, I always expect her to get a little bit more creative on the red carpet. But it seems as though we've seen Tyra wear this kind of conservative pencil dress before.
Even the bright yellow pumps and clutch don't really add interest. They just look a bit odd.
Of couse she still looks gorgeous, but I want to see something new.

Style Files: Genevieve Jones Knows High Class Style

New York Socialite Genevieve Jones is known for her incredible red carpet style. She's not afraid to take risks, and her tiny frame allows her to wear almost anything.
She stepped out in this interesting tweed dress. And although I'd never wear it, I certainly respect her for trying something different.

Zoe Saldana showed off her grownup style at the Kids Choice Awards this weekend. She kept it casual with a simple tank and some medium wash jeans. But added her own touch of event-appropriate fashion with the tweed jacket, pink clutch and neutral Louboutin heels.
What do you think of the look? Would you wear it?

Love it or Leave it: Deborah Cox Wants To Dance

Deborah Cox still looks fabulous, but I can't decide if this dress was a good choice for her. She's got a great figure, so why hid it in a silver sack?
What do you think of Deborah metallic mini? Love it or leave it?

No Ma'am: Mya Tries Her Hand At High Fashion...And Fails

It's rare that I have to pull out a "no ma'am" on a celebrity under 50, but Mya was daring me with this hideous dress. I appreciate good couture, but this is just dreadful. The oversized ruffles have overtaken her body, and she looks uncomfortable.
To be perfectly honest, this looks like some House of Dereon stuff. And that's not a good thing.

Style Files: Kelly Rowland Launches New Charity

I always try to give Kelly the benefit of the doubt because I love her, but this look missed the mark. If accessorized properly, the maxi dress might have worked. But the bright purple shoes and butterfly clutch aren't working with this muted-mauve.

KeKe Palmer Attends Kids Choice Awards

When it comes right down to it, I might prefer KeKe Palmer to Rihanna when it comes to their red carpet looks. This dress is perfection on the Nickelodeon star.
KeKe knows age-appropriate and fun aren't mutually exclusive. Look at this dress. It's not a print. It's colorful beading. I'm sure that wasn't fun to wear all night, but it looks gorgeous!

Rihanna brought the 80s to the red carpet of the Kids Choice Awards. She channeled her inner material girl with diamond cross, metallic socks, and oversized shoulder pads.
Rihanna's neutral-toned outfit looked gorgeous on her petite frame.

Style Files: Venus Williams in Printed Mini

Venus Williams definitely has the legs to pull off this cute minidress. The print is perfect for Spring. And I love that she kept the accessories to a minimum. The simple black pumps were a great choice.

Supermodel Jessica White hosted the DOWNWITHFASHION event in NYC. She wore a printed minidress with slate blue-green booties. Jessica could wear a paper bag and still look fabulous, and I love this look.

Style Files: Serena Williams In Royal Blue Cocktail Dress

Serena Williams looked gorgeous in a deep blue cocktail dress. The cowl neckline and pencil skirt accentuate her voluptuous figure. The accessories let this outfit down. The barely there silver jewelry don't add to the look, and her chunky black sandals make her legs look short.

Style Files: Nicole Richie is Vintage Chic

Nicole Richie stepped out on with her Balenciaga City bag in LA. Nicole's known for ability to mix and match funky pieces to create a look that's uniquely her own. She's wearing moccasin booties from her House of Harlow line.
I love her over-sized sunnies and leopard print scarf.

Style Files: Tasha Smith at Tarina Tarantino Beauty Launch

This is exactly how women over 30 should wear trends. Tasha Smith combined a couple of the seasons bigger trends to create a look that is fun and age-appropriate. I'm loving the black leather jacket with accentuated shoulders. Tasha shows just how a signature piece can completely transform an outfit.

Jill Scott Attends Why Did I Get Married Premiere

Jill Scott looks gorgeous and voluptuous at the premiere of her new film. The ruching of this form-fitting dress accentuates Jill's bountiful curves.
If I had one critique it would be on the 80s style sleeves and neckline on the dress. Everything else is perfection.

Janet Jackson Attends Why Did I Get Married Premiere

Janet Jackson knows what works for her body. Lately she's been opting for jackets with cinched waists to accentuate her hourglass shape.
I'm not crazy about Janet's harem pants, but she always manages to look incredible.

Style Showdown: Stacey Dash vs. Keenyah from ANTM

It won't be long before the sequins trend dies out. I've seen them worn every way imaginable, and there's bound to be a ton of repeat looks.
Stacey Dash wore this blue-green sequin shift to a Jimmy Choo event late last year. The 42 year-old mother of 3 looked characteristically gorgeous in the minidress. She accessorized the look with Jimmy Choo sandals and a silver clutch.
Keenyah Hill from Cycle 4 of America's Next Top Model wore the same dress to the "Why Did I Get Married" Premiere. She wore it with a magazine-printed clutch and black platform heels.
Who wore the look better?

Tina Turner broke the mold for black female rockstars. She came on the scene in a time when most women opted for high-glamour with demure looks. But Ms. Turner flaunted her chiseled biceps and toned legs in her signature minidresses and pedal pushers.

FeFe Dobson is one of the few black women in rock music, and she's representing us well. She epitomized rocker chic at the Rock and Roll Hall of fame induction ceremony.

Style Files: Melody Thornton Shimmers in a Black Mini

Melody Thornton flaunted her sex appeal in a black minidress with a plunging neckline. Melody definitely has a great body but the hemline on this dress makes her thighs look wider. This might have been a 10 if it were just a few inches longer.

Love it or Leave it: Melanie Fiona Parites With Alicia Keys

Melanie Fiona should have payed more attention to the fit of her grey minidress. In order to pull of this silhouette, everything has to be right. It's all wrong in the bust area.
Obviously the songstress was going for an edgier look with the studded belt and dress. What do you think? Love it or Leave it?

Style Files: Amber Rose at Gen Art Los Angeles Fashion Celebration

I'm sorry, but I don't understand this outfit on Amber Rose. She's combined elements of her typical hard style with some femme elements. Each of the pieces work separately, but together this all looks schizophrenic.

Alica Keys stepped out with her new boyfriend for the first time wearing a black and red silk dress. Silk is tricky even for women with "perfect" shapes, but I would never advise it for someone has shapely as Alicia. Bulges and ripples are not your friend.
